A window that will not shut, a pane that has cracked overnight or glass that has misted over is not something you should have to live with. I am Ian, and my family has been repairing windows across South London for more than 30 years from our shop on Penge High Street. Camberwell is a short run for my team, and we carry the parts most jobs need. Give us a ring and we will sort it.
We ask a few questions about the fault and the frame so we arrive prepared
Most repairs are completed in a single visit
Broken glass is cleared and the area left tidy before we leave
We check the window opens, closes and locks properly with you present
Plenty of Camberwell homes sit in Victorian and Edwardian terraces where a full replacement is neither cheap nor necessary. My team always looks at repairing what you already have before suggesting anything bigger. A new hinge, a fresh sealed unit or a replacement handle often brings a window back to full working order for a fraction of the cost of a new frame.

Direct Glass were extremely helpful to me when I needed a couple of windows fixing on the same day. They did everything they could to make sure the job was done asap and they have me a really good price too. The work itself was done really well, the guys were lovely to have around and they cleaned up really well afterwards. Very happy customer! Highly recommend 👌Posted on Google![]()

Obvious from the methodical way he works and total accuracy, that this guy/company knows what they’re about. A proper old school tradesman in a sea full of cowboys !Posted on Google![]()

Called for a v small window issue (double glazed glass had blown) and they couldn't have been nicer/more helpful. Reasonable quote, pleasant comms and swift/tidy replacement. Very happy to recommend this family run/local business. And a special shout out to Amber for answering my queries/being flex on my install date. 5* from me!Posted on Google![]()

For anything urgent we aim to be with you the same day. If a window has been smashed and the property is open, we will board it up on the first visit and return with the cut glass once it is ready.
Yes, in nearly every case. The frame is usually fine. We measure the failed sealed unit, order it to size and swap it out, which is far cheaper than a new window.
We repair glass, hinges, handles and locks in aluminium and timber frames, and we handle uPVC in full. We do not supply new timber windows.
Once the hardware and glass are correct, yes. We fit locking mechanisms and toughened or laminated glass to current standards, so the window performs as it should.
Usually, yes. We work on flats and upper floors regularly and will let you know at the point of booking if access equipment is needed.
