A failing window is not something you want to live with for long, particularly on an exposed Battersea street in the middle of winter. I have run Direct Glass for over 30 years, and repairs are still the job my team gets called out for most across South London. Cracked panes, misted units, dropped hinges and handles that no longer lock are all fixable, usually without replacing your frames. Give us a ring and we will get it sorted properly.
A proper inspection before anyone touches the window
A straight answer on whether a repair will last
The fault fixed on the spot wherever parts allow
Old glass and debris cleared away with us when we go
Plenty of people ring me assuming a faulty window means a full replacement, and more often than not it does not. A window that sticks, rattles or lets in cold air is usually suffering from one worn component, and swapping that part costs a fraction of a new installation. I will always tell you honestly when a repair is the sensible route and when it genuinely is not worth it. That advice has kept our Battersea customers coming back for decades.

Direct Glass were extremely helpful to me when I needed a couple of windows fixing on the same day. They did everything they could to make sure the job was done asap and they have me a really good price too. The work itself was done really well, the guys were lovely to have around and they cleaned up really well afterwards. Very happy customer! Highly recommend 👌Posted on Google![]()

Obvious from the methodical way he works and total accuracy, that this guy/company knows what they’re about. A proper old school tradesman in a sea full of cowboys !Posted on Google![]()

Called for a v small window issue (double glazed glass had blown) and they couldn't have been nicer/more helpful. Reasonable quote, pleasant comms and swift/tidy replacement. Very happy to recommend this family run/local business. And a special shout out to Amber for answering my queries/being flex on my install date. 5* from me!Posted on Google![]()

Yes. The sealed glass unit sits inside your existing frame, so we simply remove the failed unit and fit a new one. The frame, hinges and handles all stay put.
We aim to get someone out the same day for emergencies. Boarding secures the property straight away, then we return with the correct glass once it is cut to size.
Any replacement glass we fit meets current safety and energy efficiency standards, and we are FENSA registered, so the work is certified where certification applies.
We hold hardware for most systems installed over the last few decades. If a handle or hinge has been discontinued, we will source the closest working match rather than push you towards a new window.
Often, yes. If the frames are sound and only the glass or hardware has failed, a repair can add years of life. We will be upfront if the frames themselves have gone beyond saving.
